Only in Laguna: Sawdust Festival

During the 66-day summer festival, three stages feature over 200 musical acts ranging from rock, country, reggae, folk, and jazz. Each stage showcases 2-3 bands per day from 11am-10pm. Roaming entertainment includes balloon artistry, a magician, guitarists, and new this year - a mime! Every Monday from 4:30pm-6:30pm an artist will entertain by painting live on stage and every Wednesday at 3pm & 7pm docent-led tours include visits to artists’ booths while enjoying complimentary wine. Here are some entertainment highlights in July:

July 6: Mardi Gras Theme Day with Lisa Haley Band (cajun zydeco) and The Black Tongue Bells (gothic gospel blues).

July 9: Island Surf Theme Day with Kalama Brothers (island soul), Outerwave (surf instrumental), Jah Mex (reggae).

July 14: Upstream (reggae) 11:30am-4pm Main Deck. For feeling irie on a Sunday.

July 16: Spoken Word is a collaboration of poetry with entrancing music by Terrell Washington Anansi at the Grill Stage 5pm-7:30pm.

July 19: Party Foul (ska rock reggae). Local love from 5-9pm on the Main Deck.

July 20: Country and Western Theme Day with Patty Booker Band (raw country), Katelyn Marie (country pop) and Hunter & the Dirty Jacks (rock with country influences).

July 22: The Moon Police (alternative folk) 5-9pm Main Deck. Sawdust artist and violinist Douglas Miller often jams impromptu with bands but he is an official member of this band.

July 23: Superlark (classic rock) 5-9pm Main Deck. It just doesn’t get more classic than this!

July 2 & 24: David Rosales and his Band of Scoundrels (Americana with Southern California vibes). A musical experience that defines summer.

July 27: Cillian's Bridge (Irish Celtic rock). Great music to drink the fine beers available at The Saloon.

Laguna Beach residents take note! Admission is free Mondays & Thursdays after 5pm and the 1st Friday of each month all day. (must show proof of residency).
