The 13th Annual Art Star Awards outdid themselves this year. It seems it takes time for an award show to get its legs and this year it looks like the awards are here to stay. It was smoother than the previous years, food, entertainment, and keynote speaker were top notch which induced a more intimate and jovial atmosphere. Oscar winner, Marcia Gay Harden, presented a brilliant speech about the functions of art and how art helped her whole family to stay healthy in all facets of life. There were more awards this year, which is an important gesture of appreciation, considering over 95% of artists still live around the poverty level and are only driven by their passion for beauty and creativity. The Art Star Awards have become the most important get together for the business of art, where you find most players in the art game present to make contact, meet, or at least say hi.

Following the Keynote Address, given by Academy Award-winning actress, Marcia Gay Harden, the Art Star Awards were presented in this order:
