Laguna Commemorates Burning Man 2020!

Laguna has its fair share of residents who attend the Burning Man Festival, aka Burners, and one, in particular, is Gonzalo Rebollar, Founder and Chief Taco Officer of Taco Loco. The week-long experience of living in a Utopian Society would have been Gonzalo's 19th consecutive pilgrimage to Black Rock City in the Nevada desert. The cancellation saddens him and 70,000+ Burners due to the pandemic.

So, this year he honors the festival at his Coast Hwy. restaurant in conjunction with the mind-altering multitude of live virtual offerings beginning August 30 and going straight thru to the final Burning of the Man in effigy on Saturday, September 5. The open-air garage at Taco Loco will transform into a sacred space with projector screens transporting viewers to the real-time festival with global participants. They ask those who come to express themselves to embrace a communal effort to be socially distanced and be wearing a mask at all times. Come as you would to The Playa in imaginative costumes and feel free to bring offerings of peace and love for fellow Burners. 

The virtual festival, with all its wonder and possibilities, can be accessed at burningman.org. It encompasses eight universes of the Burning Man Multiverse, one official virtual Temple, and a build your own Man global Burn night. You can submit content until August 23, and collaborate with people worldwide to make this, in effect, the largest, all-inclusive Burning Man in its 35-year history.
