Every Saturday (excluding July 4, Dec. 25, Jan. 1) approx. 50 vendors sell their farm fresh, homemade products. The Vibe has featured three amazing businesses which are essential to the Saturday morning market we so cherish.

STORK BITES
The Laguna Beach Farmers Market introduces another local startup. Stork Bites specializes in frozen baby food purees created by Laguna MOMpreneurs Maria Del Toro and Allyson Liu. Nutritiously portioned meals for your baby or toddler made from only organic ingredients (no sugar, salt, preservatives, or water added) just a splash of lime. Delivered to your door and into the freezer, so it’s ready to use when you need it.

The company’s outreach includes a “starting solids seminar” to teach moms how and when to start feeding their babies. They also donate all the unused food to Casa Teresa, a safe home for pregnant women who are alone and in crisis.

At the Farmers Market, they plug in their freezer case and stock three varieties for 6 months+ in frozen serving cups. Each cup sells for $4 or 6 for $20. Online they have made-to-order bundles which include Creative Blends for 8 months+ and Hearty Combos for 10 months+ to introduce new textures and flavors to a baby’s palate. Allyson’s expertise in graphic design was put to good use in creating the branding for Stork Bites, and the two have been working side by side every baby step of the way. https://stork-bites.com/

MAMAS OC FOOD SERVICES
During her time as a vendor at the Laguna Beach Farmers Market, Sonia Salloum noticed other vendors weren’t selling as much, primarily during the winter months. With the help of social media and her amazing marketing skills, she campaigned the community to create a bridge between local business owners and the farmers market. Mamas OC Food Services continues to grow their network of professionals who advocate for small business owners within the food/beverage and catering industry.

Mamas OC Food Services is the primary sponsor in promoting the Laguna Beach Farmers Market. For sponsorship inquiries please contact Mamas Marketing team: (949) 427-1117

SUNNY CAL FARMS
Shaun Rosendahl, the owner of Sunny Cal Farms, is hands-on day to day from orchard to market. As a third generation fruit grower in Reedley, CA, he manages 3 teams of professionals at 3 simultaneous markets, 5 days a week. At Laguna’s Farmers Market, his booth is always the hub of activity and very appealing with overflowing bushels of seasonal fruits and colorful signs that POP!

What’s in season now? Pears, apples, pomegranates, persimmons, and citrus fruits. His wide selection of dried fruits and nuts are popular this time of the year. They make a healthy snack to boost immunity and well-being during the holidays. At his farm, they press the pomegranates into juice and freeze it so they can make it available at the market year round. The blemished fruits may not take center stage, but they find a good home if you check out the “Jam and Juice Box.” Sample the goods and let your own palate decide. Otherwise, Shaun will be happy to advise. Fint them on social media @sunnycalfarms.
