12th Annual Art Star Awards - PHOTOS

[seven-degrees] events are always special and this was one of them. The venue demonstrated art’s magic. When artists are present and/or art surrounds people it always stimulates good conversations. Art creates a neutral place that is void of discrimination and prejudice, where people of all color and persuasion can coexist in harmony. This evening was no exception. The artists and patrons got their due for their beliefs in this intangible energy of arts’ muses. The 12th annual Art Stars Awards revealed its highlights with the multifaceted and tireless creative mission of artist Tom Swimm, receiver of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Arts Patron of the Year Lisa Hale's belief in the importance of a local art institution, namely Laguna Playhouse. I dreamed about what would art be if it was given similar importance, as in this award show, for all artists the rest of the year.
